Exploring Key Notions

The ideas presented below are ones I believe to be crucial for the perspective implied in this study. First, the past as an abstract concept that is reflected in many phenomena we touch upon. Second, discourse of the past is a continuum which lets the past extend further and thematically projects it into the present and future. Third, the outside perspective is the perspective reflecting the standpoint of the author of this study, that is, the perspective in which we want to see a nation from the outside. Finally, the socio-cognitive model applied here is a possible framework for an analysis of cognitive processes involved in international, mutual perception.
